Pro Mini Mix

Pro mini mix provided me with ready mix that was completely unworkable, far too dry and lacked any fluidity to level my foundations. Really annoying because I had spent several months preparing the site (excavating, compacting sub-base and making the rebar framework). This was completely ruined by the last and what should have been the easiest part of the job pouring the concrete and levelling off. I say pouring but it was more like trying to shift several tonnes of concrete that had the consistency of damp ballast. I will say in their defence they did jump in and help wheel barrow and rake the concrete but I think this was only to free up the mixer to get to the next job. The finish was appalling, caused us an immense level of pain trying to level the concrete and was left extremely disappointed with the service. Amazingly through a lot of hard work we managed to get it to some kind of level before it had set, but the finish was so bad I then had extra work to add battens to the height of the shuttering and lay another unnecessary layer of screed. When I spoke to them about what they could to help, they only suggestion was to charge me another £230 on top of the £800 I had already paid. I would not use Pro Mini Mix again.
