A focal point for all the Community to provide various activities for everyone as well as having a fantastic venue to hire for private events and business meeting space.
Turnberrie’s is a Community Centre in the heart of the market town of Thornbury, South Glos. Owned by South Gloucestershire Council, the building is managed and maintained by the Thornbury Community Building Trust (TCBT) under lease. The Trust was formed as a charity in 2006 in anticipation of the new building. TCBT is made up of Trustees and a Management Committee whose aim is to ensure that the building serves the needs of the Thornbury community. Turnberrie’s is a Community Centre built for the local community, yet due to its excellent facilities, is able to offer these services to people, business and organisations across South Gloucestershire and the UK. As a non-profit making charity, we are committed to reinvesting all funds back into the centre and the Thornbury community. Turnberries is the home of both Thornbury Youth Centre and South Glos. Day Services (Resource and Activity Centre) What’s in the Name??? Turnberrie’s is the name which Thornbury had in 1086, at the time of William the Conqueror, and as recorded in the Domesday or Doomsday Book . So Turnberrie’s means belonging to Thornbury – a fitting start for the new building!

I have used Turnberrie’s on many occasions and I am always impressed by the helpful, friendly staff. Everything was set up and ready for my guests exactly as I had requested.
The function room looked great and nothing was too much bother for the staff.
