We just wanted to say a big thank you from the family for all the work that you and your team did in providing the food, room and decorations for our birthday gathering last Saturday. Everyone had a great time and the Swan was a big factor in this.

On behalf of the Aden Veterans Association (Glos Branch) I wanted to thank you for pulling out all the stops yesterday to ensure we had an enjoyable meal despite our last minute booking. It was attractively served, hot and plentiful. I had so many positive comments, with several members saying it was the best meal they have had this year for our monthly lunches! Please thank your chef and staff. I am sure you will have gained some new customers.

We stayed at Thornbury Castle and had dinner at The Swan one night in their pub. They have GREAT pub food. We both had the faggots (meatballs), fresh from the butcher, with mashed potatoes, peas, and a thick brown gravy on the side. OMG it was GREAT. But it was a special, not on the normal menu. But if the rest of their food is anything like this, you will be happy. There are 3 different dining rooms all with a very pub-like atmosphere. There is also what looked to be a nice outside area but it was raining when we were there. This pub has TONS of history as it was one of the first buildings in the area. Don't miss the iron ring on the floor in the atrium area once used to tie up horses. Don't miss the rounded window in the atrium area either and ask someone to tell you it's history (as I don't remember right now but it was interesting). I also loved all the beer tap emblems hanging from the bannisters. The food is as good as the atmosphere and the history. You should eat here. We loved it.
